Domain names and your Gotekky service

There are three options available regarding domains and hosting with us.

  • Order a new domain name with Gotekky.
  • Transfer your existing domain name registration. Before you can transfer the domain, you will need to login to the existing provider/registrar and UNLOCK your domain and obtain an EPP (domain transfer) authorization code. Please note that you CANNOT make any changes to the registrant contact information such as name, address, email or phone number as this will result in a 60-day registrar lock and you will not be able to transfer your domain to us. When domains are transferred, you will need to pay for at least 1 year which will extend the current expiry date by 1 year and not on the date of the transaction. Prior to performing the renewal if you want your service to start working right away while the transfer is happening, login to your existing providers portal and change your domain’s “name servers”, this may alternatively be under a section called Manage DNS.
  • Leave your domain at the existing registrar and just update the Nameservers/DNS to point the entire domain to our service where we will handle everything including email but not the actual domain that is registered with a registrar.
